Tabletop Tuesday - Telestrations

Welcome to another Tabletop Tuesday - Your weekly exploration into games of dice, cards, luck and more of the Tabletop world.

This week's game...the game of loose interpretations of questionable illustrations that is Telestrations.

Players: 4-8
Time: 10-20 minutes (per round)
Genre: Party Game

If you're familiar with games such as Pictionary or Telephone, you'll be right at home here with Telestrations.  Players each receive a word to write down and/or draw (depending on the number of players).  This is then passed around, to which if the player receives a word, they will attempt to illustrate such.  If they receive a picture, they will attempt to write down what they believe is being depicted.  This alternating cycle continues as it is passed around player to player until it returns back to the starting player.  The fun then begins looking at the beginning and end result, and the hilarious misinterpretations that led to often far off-course outcomes.

There are means in which to keep score in this game if desired, but such tends to never be the case when playing.  This is assuredly a lighthearted and beyond silly game, much like the days of youth.  The joys of this game come from letting loose and wondering what course your subject will take.  I recommend this game for those who like to laugh and are looking for a game with wide accessibility.

If you have any questions about Telestrations, let me know in the comments.  Otherwise, look forward to future installments of Tabletop Tuesday!
